She’s Married? Looking at Me Like That? What a Slut!

Speculation Theater Monday!

What if Dudley Moore’s Character ‘Arthur’ Was King of the Britons?

A shot of me and the NH Governor. We're like THAT!

Bill Corbett from Rifftrax tweeted recently on the new reboot of the Arthur series with Russell Brand and Helen Mirren in a remake of the classic movie.

“Instead of the seeing the ARTHUR remake, I’m just going to send Helen Mirren $20.00 http://bit.ly/evB3jj

Here’s the clip

His suggestion of just sending $20 to Helen and calling it a day might be a good idea. However, it jogged my memory of another skit we did with lovable old Dudley in a different setting, which I thought I’d share on Speculation Theater Monday! Enjoy.

    …and now, another OLD JOKE:
following up the throwaway line about the Manhattan Yellow Pages being turned into a Broadway musical…the review went “not much of a plot, but loaded with so many great characters, one after another…”

That reminds me of a classic Steve Steinberg thing he did with a phone book. He was in the UUTV office, and looked up his name in it, and dialed another Steve Steinberg.

He said “Hi, Steve Steinberg? I’m Steve Steinberg. I’m 2 names above yours in the phone directory. How ‘ya doing? I was thinking – if you’re not doing anything, I was going to call these 2 girls on page 247 – you want to double date ’em?

      Totally straight faced. Great stuff.
